Bicycle Tours

Image from Flickr CC by TouringCyclistSome might call bicycle touring the most ecological type of travel, we just call it fun. In our effort to provide our members and the community opportunities to experience all types of bicycling we occasionally host bicycle tours of various lengths. Some are as short as overnight some may be multiple day events. Check back here to see upcoming bicycle tours.

2011 Tours

Sparta S240

What is an S240?

“S240″ stands for sub-24 hour tour. It means that you will return to your start point within 24 hours, making it the perfect bike touring for short weekends. It also means that you can get away without having a mountain of touring equipment and is a great way to get started learning about bicycle touring.

Here is a great article on S240s we found over on the Adventure Cycling website “S240s: Bicycle Camping for the Time Challenged.”
