Every Fall the Driftless Region Bicycle Coalition holds its’ annual meeting which is a great opportunity to bring the membership together, meet old friends and make new ones as well. It also offers members a great chance to ask board members questions and offer suggestions for future actions.
During the annual meeting the DRBC holds a business meeting where new board directors are elected and items that are to be voted on by the membership are put forth. Non-members are welcome to attend as well, but cannot vote.
At this meeting we will elect four directors of the board. This is your chance to serve on the Board of Directors. If you are interested in running, please write a short statement, up to 500 words, describing yourself and why you think you would make a good director. You can get on the ballot by attending the meeting and nominating yourself.

DRBC is now listed on VolunteerMatch.org. This will give us more visibility to those searching for volunteer opportunities related to bicycling. Also, some companies have a “Dollars for Doers” program that gives employees the ability to have grant money donated to their favorite non-profit organization.
Found Online is a collection of links to interesting articles and items we come across online. Most of these are also posted to our Facebook page (be sure to like our page) as we find them and are put here about once a month.

In November we asked you to give us your input and take a little survey. The survey was designed to give the board input from our members and friends on the direction of the DRBC. The results of the member and friends survey were then used at the board planning retreat in December. We thought we should share the organizational goals the board has set for 2011 and the results of the survey with you here. As you can see the 2011 goals match well with the input we received from the survey. More information will be forth coming on some of the goals.
